NISHAT MILLS

NML is Flagship Company of Nishat group established in 1951. It is one of the largest vertically integrated textile organization in Pakistan.

Nishat Spinning have 10 spinning units with 236,496 spindles which are producing Slub yarns, Colored yarns, Cotton, Poly-cotton, Cotton Lycra & Spandex, Bamboo, Modal, Tesnsil and Organic Cotton etc.

Nishat Weaving has 794 looms and a production capacity of 13 million yards per month. The product facility manufactures Home Textiles, Twills, Drills, Dense canvas, Down-proof poplin, Apparel greige, Dobie’s & Jacquards Specializes in blends of Polyester, Nylon, Linen and technical fabrics.

Nishat Dyeing & Finishing (NDF) is the largest dyeing & finishing plant of South East Asia with the production capacity of 6.5 million yards per month and exports fabric to more than 36 different countries across the globe. NDF has its expertise in special finishes like wrinkle free, post cure, water & oil repellent, leather & pigment finishes.

Nishat Home Textiles consists upon 2 stitching facility with a total of 1252 modern sewing machine and 3 state of the art rotary machines which have per month capacity of 1.64 million Yards. The facility produces different products ranging from basic sheeting to extremely hi-tech fabrics.

Here at Nishat we believe in environment sustainability and to peruse the same we have installed fully functional Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to treat effluents before dispensing them out to external environment. We use sustainable fabric, 100% green chemicals, and 10% solar energy to our fulfill commitment with green environment.

Electricity consumption reduced from 36KW kw to 18 kw, thus saving of 18 Kwh per hour. 50 % energy cost saved by this initiative.
Eco friendly Solar Panel Generation System(On Grid System) has installed having capacity of 1.26 MW. 1277116 KWH energy has been saved from July 2017 to June 2018.
Nishat Apparel has installed waste to heat recovery plant to produce steam in boiler by using exhaust of gas engine. Energy consumption has reduced by this initiative.
Eco friendly washing machines with energy saving inverter systems are installed. 50% energy have been saved by this initiative.
Eco friendly curing oven is installed which consume less energy as compare to conventional oven. Curing oven has auto heat sensor and reduce energy consumption up to 45%.
Green belts are provided within premises of factory to reduce environmental pollution keeping in view 20% open area for sustainable site.
ETP in-house lab has been established to ensure efficient working of Effluent wastewater treatment plant
To reduce environmental pollution external environmental inspections have been done through EPA approved facility
Nishat is using PEP structure based on sandwich panels which replace hazardous KMNO4 with ABOL OXYWHITE which is environmental friendly.
Nishat is using Spray booths which are reusing water from bath. By this 95% water consumption in spray booths have reduced.
Nishat Apparel have saved 115 ton of chemicals from previous 6 months and 250 tons in last year. 50,000,00 gallons of water saved during last 6 months using Laser Machine.
To provide technical expertise to local community, training is being provided with cooperation of PSDF.
Arranged fumigation to protect workers form diseases.

Every second, our sun produces enough energy to sustain earth’s needs for 500,000 years. Solar is one of the fastest growing energy source in the world. 1.2 megawatts of Nishat solar energy project worth 2 Million US Dollar has already been activated. A big step towards sustainability.
